The Suffolk University Athletics Department enjoyed success in the classroom during the Fall Semester of 2012 as 85 student-athletes earned Dean’s List honors in their respective academic schools. To be eligible for the Dean’s List students must maintain a 3.30 grade-point average or above and not receive a grade of a D or F for the semester or receive an incomplete grade in any class in either the College of Arts & Sciences or Sawyer Business School. In all 38 student-athletes achieved academic honors within the Sawyer Business School, while 47 earned academic recognition by the College of Arts & Sciences. Of those 85 student-athletes, 27 finished with High Academic Honors as they posted GPA’s of 3.70 or above. Eight student-athletes finished the semester with perfect GPA’s of 4.0, including four Women’s Soccer players. Of the 13 varsity intercollegiate varsity sports programs that Suffolk University offers, 126 of the 201 (62.6%) student-athletes listed on rosters entering the Spring Semester of 2013 have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0.
