Jeff Stone is entering his ninth year as the Athletic Trainer for the Rams. A 1976 graduate of Northeastern University, Boston-Bouve College, he has over 35 years of sports medical experience. His resume includes athletic training experiences at Framingham State College, Ashland and Natick High Schools and the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center.
Stone was inducted into the National Athletic Trainers
Association (NATA) Hall of Fame in June, 2012. He is one of only 17
athletic trainers in Massachusetts ever to be awarded that
distinction. He was honored with the Cramer Award for outstanding
service to the Eastern Athletic Trainers Association in January,
2012, as well as the EATA Henry Schein-MBN Scholastic Athletic
Trainer Award in 1991.
Stone served as District One Director for the NATA from 2004-2010,
sitting as the New England representative for over 2,000 certified
athletic trainers on the NATA Board of Directors. He is also a Past
President of the Athletic Trainers of Massachusetts (ATOM) and was
inducted into the ATOM Hall of Fame in 2011. The current Medical
Coordinator of the Bay State Games, Stone was inducted into its
Hall of Fame in 2006.
Stone was named the inaugural Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Athletic Trainer of the Year in 2008, and again in 2011.
