Andrius Zeikus enters his second season as Head Coach for Men's Soccer. Zeiukus previously served as an assistant coach for the Rams in 2007-08. In his first season as Head Coach, Zeikus helped guide the Rams to a fifth-place GNAC standing with a 4-5 conference record (5-10 overall). Four of his players went on to earn All-Conference recognition, including freshman Danny Lloyd who was named GNAC Rookie of the Year. Junior Nick Celia was also named a first-team All Conference selection.
A resident of Somerville, Mass., Zeikus has helped guide Suffolk to
19 victories since 2006, including back-to-back berths in the Great
Northeast Athletic Conference semi-finals as well as the
program’s first-ever ECAC post-season appearance in 2006.
Zeikus has helped coach four all-GNAC performers over that time
period and takes over for Nick Papadopoulos, who led the Rams to 61
victories during his seven year tenure.
Before coming to Suffolk, Coach Zeikus was a multi-sport athlete in
Lithuania playing three years of soccer and professional
basketball. A 2004 graduate of Husson College, Zeikus was a 2 sport
athlete playing both soccer and basketball. Zeikus earned a
Master’s degree from Suffolk in 2006 and is a candidate for a
Doctorate in Education from Boston University. He is also a
certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the NSCA. Aside
from his coaching duties at Suffolk, Coach Zeikus currently works
at the Wang YMCA as Director of Helth and Wellness and at the Karma
Yoga Studio as a personal trainer. Zeikus also coaches
JV Basketball at Boston Latin School, and coaches an AAU (17U)
boys's basketball team for the Boston Warriors program.
