Heather Cox will enter the 2009 season in her first season as
Head Volleyball Coach. Cox has served as an assistant
coach on the Suffolk University Volleyball staff the previous two
seasons. Heather is a 2007 graduate of Suffolk where she played
volleyball for four seasons with the Rams. A starter in all four
seasons, Heather spent two seasons as a libero and two as a setter.
Heather was named a team Captain her senior year and voted to the
GNAC All-Star team in 2007. In 2006, as a junior she set
the conference record for assists. Heather also served as the
President of the Suffolk University Student Athlete Advisory
Council (SAAC) her junior and senior seasons.
Heather hails from Feeding Hills, MA and attended Agawam High
School. A four year varsity letter winner in volleyball, Heather
started all four seasons as a setter and was named as an “All
Western Massachusetts” All-Star her senior season as well as
serving as team captain. That season Heather also played on the
Western Massachusetts Junior Olympic team.
Heather earned her Bachelors of Arts in Sociology and Paralegal
Studies in 2007 and currently works at a Boston law firm as a
paralegal.
Keri Lemasters returned in the 2008 season as the Rams assistant coach. Her primary duties for the team include recruiting, scheduling, and player development.
A native of Canyon Country, California Lemasters was a three sport athlete at Canyon High School where she excelled at volleyball, basketball, and softball and was named Athlete of the Year in 1992 and 1993. She earned All-Santa Clarita honors as a defensive specialist at Canyon where her team went undefeated in league play in all three years of her varsity volleyball career.
Volleyball was Lemasters first passion, but the sport of softball opened doors for her. Lemasters spent her collegiate career at Michigan State University where she holds several career and single season records. She was a member of the USA National Softball team from 1997-1999 and is still a member of the USA Women's Baseball team with a career spanning from 2002 to present.
A resident of Wilmington, Mass., Lemasters serves as Associate
Athletic Director, Suffolk's Senior Woman Administrator and Head
Softball Coach along with her other duties.
Noel Moran enters her first season as a member of the Suffolk University Volleyball coaching staff. Noel joins the staff after a very successful collegiate career at Suffolk in which she was a four-year starter as an Outside Hitter. During her senior season she was named a Team Captain, as well as being named to the GNAC All-Conference All-Star team. While at Suffolk, Noel also served on the Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) for all four years.
Before coming to Suffolk, Noel was a standout player at New Bedford High School where she set the school record for digs in 2003. She was also awarded High School All Scholastic High School Career Honors by the Standard Times (New Bedford, MA). Noel was also a member of two Gold Medal winning teams (2002, 2003) in the Bay State Games as well as a Silver Medal winning team in 2001. She also competed in the Junior Olympics for eight years. In the summer of 2002, Noel travelled overseas to play in New Zealand and Australia.
Noel graduated from Suffolk in 2008 with her Bachelor's of Science in Communications/Public Relations.
