Holly Eicher joined the Suffolk Athletics Department as a Graduate Assistant in Sports Information in the Winter of 2017. She will assist in the branding and marketing efforts for the University's 19 varsity sports alongside working as an assistant coach on Jaclyn Davis' softball staff, which she joined in August 2016. 

Eicher comes to Suffolk after beginning her coaching career as an assistant at Boston College during the 2016 season. In her single season on staff with the Eagles, the team went 30-23 overall and 12-9 in ACC action en route to the conference tournament. A total of four players garnered All-ACC honors. Administratively, Eicher helped organize practices, team travel and recruiting at BC.   

Prior to coaching, Eicher was a standout outfielder for SNHU from 2012-15, where she belonged to the winningest class in program history with 123 career wins, thanks to setting new single-season program wins record each campaign. Eicher led the Penmen to back-to-back Northeast 10 regular-season and conference championships and the NCAA Super Regional Finals in 2014 and 2015. As a senior captain she grabbed a NE-10 all-conference outfield selection in 2015 and contributed to SNHU’s NCAA Division II best statistical fielding percentage of 0.977 with just 29 errors in 1,272 chances as a junior. Eicher finished her career with just two errors for a 0.984 fielding percentage and put together a .303 batting average. Off the diamond, Eicher excelled academically, with a spot on the 2014 Capital One Academic All-District Team and consecutive NE-10 Academic all-conference nods. 

Other softball positions Eicher held prior to coming to Suffolk include serving as mentor and roving instructor at the Headfirst Honor Roll Softball Camps and working as a baseball camp coach/division leader for the Boston Red Sox Baseball Camp. 

The Stoneham, Massachusetts native, graduated from SNHU in 2015 Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Arts in communications and minors in public relations, psychology and social media marketing.
