Valck and Mehaya Take Home CNE Weekly Awards
 
BEVERLY, Mass. – Suffolk men's soccer players Francisco Valck and Mohamed Mehaya earned Conference of New England (CNE) weekly honors as Valck was named CNE Offensive Player of the Week and Mehaya collected CNE Rookie of the Week recognition on the heels of a 2-0-0 week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
 
Valck notched two goals and one assist against Dean and added another helper in the 3-0 win over Wentworth to finish the week with six points. He earned his second career CNE Offensive Player of the Week honor, previously winning on Sept. 3, 2024, and becomes the first Ram to capture the award since Diego Pierantozzi on Oct. 7, 2024.
 
Mehaya had a standout performance versus the Bulldogs. The freshman tallied two goals and one assist in the resumed 6-2 victory en route to his second straight rookie of the week selection. He is the first Ram to win back-to-back CNE weekly honors in program history. The weekly distinction marks the third time that the forward was tabbed the league's best rookie in a seven-day sapn. The trio of weekly accolades ties the record for single-season weekly awards in the CNE concference set by Nathan Harlow in 2023 (two defensive, one rookie). The East Boston, Massachusetts native is the first Suffolk player to catpure three weekly nods since Sunjoon Tenorio was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie fo the Week three times in 2019. 
 
On top of Valck and Mehaya's acknowledgments, Harlow was tabbed CNE Rookie of the Week twice thus far this season to bring Suffolk's 2025 weekly award total to six, the most since Suffolk grabbed seven in 2023.
 
Suffolk, riding a four-game team win streak, returns to action Saturday, Oct. 11, with a road matchup at Roger Williams. Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m. in Bristol, R.I.
