BOSTON - The Suffolk women's tennis 2018 schedule is comprised of 14 overall contests with eight to be split at the Rams home courts at Buckingham, Browne & Nichols and North Read High School, second-year head coach Matthew Tiberii released Monday afternoon.
A three match homestand gets action underway as meetings with Thomas (Sept. 2), Rhode Island College (Sept. 4) and Wentworth (Oct. 6) stretch over a five-day span.
The trio of three home matches are mirrored by three road tilts starting with the conference opener against the newest GNAC member Colby Sawyer in New London, New Hampshire, Saturday, Sept. 8. From there, the Rams travel to Roger Williams (Sept. 10) and Bridgewater State (Sept. 13).
See-saw of home and road action follows with Suffolk playing host to Albertus Magnus (Sept. 14) and Regis (Sept. 19) and the Rams venturing to Emerson (Sept. 15) and Eastern Nazarene (Sept. 22).
Suffolk will play three of its final four matches at home over the course of four days as St. Joseph (Conn.) (Oct. 3), UMass Dartmouth (Oct. 4) and Johnson & Wales (Oct. 6) all head to Boston.
The Rams will wrap up the regular season at Simmons Saturday, Oct. 13.
In 2018 Suffolk looks to punch its 12th consecutive ticket to the GNAC postseason and hoist the conference crown just the second time and first since 2007. The Rams will rely on the raquet of last season's ace, all-league first-team selection Delaney Dunlap, as well as Danlyn Medou and Ahilya Malhourta, who held down the lower half of Suffolk's ladder a year ago.
