BOSTON – After turning in a five-run, four-RBI performance over the course of the Rams' three wins last week, the ECAC named Jake Frasca Division III New England Rookie of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
Frasca went 7-for-10 at the plate in the three victories and doubled in each win. The freshman from Darien, Connecticut went 3-for-4 at Wheaton with one RBI and two runs before heading into Suffolk's doubleheader at Rhode Island College.
Frasca was 2-for-3 in each of the back-to-back games against the Anchormen, scoring a total of three runs and batting in three more. After recording a hit in each game last week, the second baseman extended his hitting streak to four games.
Through 14 games this season, Frasca is batting .440 with 13 RBI and 12 runs scored. Earlier this week, he earned his first league honor when he was named GNAC Corvias Rookie of the Week.
