BOSTON – Suffolk baseball has three midweek game days for the second straight week with outings at Conference of New England (CNE) counterpart Wentworth, with non-league stops at Rivier and Wheaton.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk baseball ended a marathon, 21-inning doubleheader in thrilling fashion as it walked-off against Gordon in the 10th inning, 4-3, in game two of the Conference of New England (CNE) twin bill Saturday at East Boston Memorial Park.

RAMS RUNDOWN
- Suffolk split its twin bill with Gordon over the weekend to bring a 2-14 overall record and 1-2 CNE mark.
- Both outings between the Fighting Scots went into extra innings.
- The trio of Luke Thornton (15 hits, 6 RBI, 10 runs), Sam Armbruster (15 hits, 9 RBI, 7 runs) and Jack Mihalchik (15 hits, 4 RBI, 15 runs) have been the most consistent contributors offensively.
- John McDevitt (10.1 IP, 7 K), Ben Cassavoy (5.2 IP, 7 K) and Ian Maude (10.2 IP, 5 K) will likely earn the nods for the midweek stretch.
LEOPARDS LOOK
- Wentworth dropped both outings of a CNE twin bill with Western New England Sunday to enter Tuesday's action 11-8 on the year and 1-2 in league play. The CNE triumph came over Gordon, March 24, via a 12-2 margin.
- Josh Turcotte is the biggest threat at the dish with 30 hits, behind a .400 average, for a team-best 23 RBI and 14 runs scored.
- Matt Robinson, meanwhile, has supplied 26 hits, nine RBI and 17 runs, while Lukas Poirier completes the top three bats with 21 hits and nine RBI of his own.
- Alec Peruzzi (27.0 IP, 1.67 ERA, 33 K) and Tommy Crowley (7.16 ERA, 16.1 IP, 11 K) are starters on the hill for the Leopards.

- With four conference contests following the showdown with Suffolk, Rivier will likely use a midweek guy Wednesday in Nate Bonacrosi (7.1 IP, 5 K) and Jake O'Connor (4.2 IP, 3 K).
WE MEET AGAIN
In a back-and-forth battle, Suffolk baseball had a chance to walk-off to its first win of the season, but came up just shy to Rivier, 12-11, Tuesday, March 17 at East Boston Memorial Park.
