HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hartford started out hot as it put up one dozen runs in the first frame.
- The Rams couldn't find its grove, while the Hawks continued to tack on to their advantage that grew to 21-0 with five innings in the books.
- Suffolk eliminated the shutout with a two-out rally in the six. Sebastian Lampert worked a two-out walked before Mike Mullaney sent a ball over the right field fence to put the Rams on the board.
- The blue-and-gold kept Hartford quiet in the home half of the six and the ground proved too large to make up in the seventh for the 21-2 final.
PITCHERS PICTURE
- Ian Maude took the loss as he gave up 10 runs, nine earned, on five hits and four walks.
- Nick Rubin (3.0 IP, 6 R, 4 ER, 8 H, 1 BB, 2 K), Colin McNeal (1.0 IP, 3 R, 2 ER, 5 H), Jack Raimo (1.0 IP, 2 R, 1 ER, 3 H, 2 K) and Nick Arnett (1.0 IP) all came out of the blue-and-gold's pen.
