Matt Pepdjonovic Named GNAC Rookie of the Week (12/14)

Boston, Mass. - Freshman Matt Pepdjonovic (Quincy, Mass.) was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week for the third time this season for the week of December 14. Pepdjonovic previously won the honors on November 23rd and November 30th.

Pepdjonovic had another monster week posting a season-high in points on Saturday with 26 in an 83-64 loss to St. Joseph's College (Me.). He led all scorers in Thursday's setback to Nichols College scoring 16 points to go along with 10 rebounds, finishing the week averaging 21 points per game and 9.5 rebounds per game.

The Rams head into the winter break with a record of 4-5, already eclipsing their win total from the previous season in large part due to the 6'6 freshman center. In nine games this season Pepdjonovic has posted five double-doubles, averaging 15.9 points per game and 12.3 rebounds per game.

Pepdjonovic has been the best rebounder thus far in the GNAC through the first half of the season. His 12.3 rebounds per game is best in the ten-team league, while he is currently the leader in both rebounding categories; offensive (4.8 per game), and defensive (8.2 per game), He is currently 12th among all GNAC scorers with a 15.9 points per game, trailing sophomore Mike Gibbons (Ringwood, N.J.), whose 16.3 points per game average is best amongst the Rams and seventh in the conference. Pepdjonovic is also ranked sixth in shooting with a.564 field-goal percentage among all GNAC players.

The Rams will open up the second half of their season on January 9th as they host Lasell College in a GNAC match-up at 2:00pm at Suffolk's Regan Gymnasium.
