NEWTON, Mass. - The 2015-16 season came to a close for the Suffolk men's basketball team Tuesday night as it dropped a 78-64 decision to Lasell in the quarterfinal game of the 2016 GNAC Tournament.
Senior Adam Chick led the Rams (8-18) as he put away a game-high 23 points and brought down 13 rebounds. Three other double-digit scorers sparked the Suffolk offense as Steven Diprizio and Jake Meister each finished with 11 points, while Michael Hagopian added 10.
The Rams stayed within four points at 35-31 heading into halftime, but failed to regain control of the lead as Lasell's Pat Marchand poured in 15 second-half points to put the game away for the Lasers.
All five of Lasell's starters finished in double digits, including Marchand's 21 total points. Richard O'Brien finished with 18 points for the Lasers while Armin Omanovic added 13, Logan Liberty tossed in 11, and Scott Arsenault scored 10. Liberty also led Lasell to 48 team rebounds in the victory recording 17 boards while Marchand followed with 13.
