BOSTON – For the second straight week, Suffolk men's basketball's Thomas Duffy picked up GNAC Corvias Rookie of the Week on the heels of 7.0 ppg and 4.5 rpg in 1-1 week for the Rams the league office announced Monday afternoon.
In Suffolk's first conference win of the season, a 61-52 victory over Norwich, Duffy recorded four points, shooting 2-for-3 from the field to go along with two rebounds and three assists. He followed that performance with a standout career-day in the Rams' comeback at Albertus Magnus. The freshman forward poured in 10 points on a 3-for-4 effort from the floor, including five points in the final two minutes to keep Suffolk within striking distance of the Falcons. He added seven rebounds to his offensive output.
The weekly accolade marks the second of Duffy's career and second for Suffolk this season.
The Rams wrap up first semester action tomorrow at UMass Boston at 7 p.m.
