Suffolk's 81-65 setback at Albertus Magnus put the Rams at 6-5 overall and 1-1 in league play.
Brendan Mulson, who adds 9.8 ppg to the offensive effort, leads the way defensively as the freshman grabs 5.5 rpg. Kevin Querusio is second on the squad with 4.8 rpg with Duffy chipping in 4.0 rpg to Suffolk's 32.9 rpg total.
Norwich held off Saint Joseph's (Maine) Saturday, 75-72, to improve to 3-7 on the season and 1-1 versus conference competition.
The Cadets, who have won two straight, average 72.0 ppg as a squad with Jesse Davis' 13.8 ppg pacing the well-balanced offense. Seniors Ryan Booth and Joe Bertrand tally 11.7 ppg and 11.0 ppg, respectively, with Mike Hogervorst's 10.6 ppg rounding out the four Norwich players averaging double figures.
Booth is the main ingredient to the Cadets' 31.5 rpg with the guard pulling down 5.3 rpg. Bertrand (4.8 rpg) and Hogervorst (4.2 rpg) are also consistent factors on the glass for Norwich.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Suffolk split the two regular-season meetings with Norwich last year to make up ground in the all-time series, which the Rams trail, 17-24.
THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME
Suffolk is unbeaten in front of its home crowd this season, earning five of its six wins in Regan Gymnasium; Brandeis (75-67), Saint Joseph's (Maine) (68-56), Lesley (61-46), UMass Boston (79-69) and Framingham State (93-66).
The Rams are outscoring their opponents, 75.2-60.8, when playing on the friendly confines of the Larry E. Smith and Michael S. Smith court thanks to a 46.8 field goal percentage at home.
For the third time this season, Brendan Mulson of the Suffolk men's basketball team has been named GNAC Corvias Rookie of the Week after a 15.5 ppg and 8.5 rpg performance in a 1-1 week for the Rams.
Suffolk hits the road once again Saturday, Jan. 13 as it meets Regis for the first-time as conference competition. The Rams and Pride are set for a 1 p.m. game time in Weston, Massachusetts.
