BOSTON – The Suffolk men's golf team returns to action this weekend as it heads to North Dartmouth, Massachusetts to compete in the Westport Hampton Inn Spring Invitational at the Allendale Country Club. The two-day tournament, taking place Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8, will be the first of two events the Rams will tee off in April as part of the fifth Annual Spring Series.

In its fall 2016 competitions, Suffolk started out hot, winning the Emmanuel Invitational, before sliding in eighth at the Blazer Fall Invitational. The Rams found themselves back on top, defeated Eastern Nazarene in a head-to-head, 324-428, before claiming the four-team field at the EC Saints Invite in its final prep before championship season. 

Suffolk finished eighth at GNACs and claimed 16th at the NEIGA Championship, held at Captains Golf Course in Brewster, Massachusetts, to wrap up the fall. 

Along the way, multiple Rams were recognized by the conference for weekly achieve in Demetrois Stamoulis and Owen Boggini, who each collected GNAC Corvias Rookie of the Week Sept. 19 and Oct. 10, respectively. In his final campaign in blue-and-gold, Patrick Hambleton, was named to the GNAC Sportsmanship Team for the second straight season. 

Allendale Country Club is a 73-par championship course familiar to the Rams as they have teed off for multiple GNAC Championships on the green in North Dartmouth, Mass. 

Suffolk concludes its spring time action April 22-23 at the Wildcats Spring Invitational at the Cranston Country Club in Cranston, Rhode Island.
