WARWICK, R.I. – Suffolk men's golf turned in a fourth-place performance at the RIC Invitational over the weakened at Valley Country Club.
The Rams combined for a two-day team card of 641 to finish fourth in the nine-team field behind Roger Williams (617), Springfield (627) and Wesleyan (636).
Ryan Mollica was the top blue-and-gold golfer on the course. He shot a 78 on day one and added two strokes on day two to finish with a 158, good for a share of 14th.
Jake Zirlin was one stroke behind Mollica to take sole possession of 16th.
Trey Connolly's 161 was good for a share of 19th. Vijay Sakuru and Michael Gallagher rounded out the Rams' team competitors with a 165 and 172. Sakuru tied for 27th, while Gallagher captured a share of 34th.
Christopher Sinopoli competed as an individual and claimed 30th behind a 168.
Suffolk concludes its spring schedule at the Gordon College Shoot-out Monday, April 28 at the Wenham Country Club.
