Jeff Rose Named ECAC Northeast Goalie of the Week (2/8)
Pair of Rams earn weekly honors after Suffolk tops Curry College on Saturday
Boston, Mass. - Suffolk University Hockey goaltender Jeff Rose (Collinsville, Conn.) was named ECAC Northeast Goaltender of the week on February 8. Rose stopped 40 shots in the Rams' 3-2 overtime victory over 17th-ranked Curry College.
It is the second time this season Rose has earned the weekly honor by the ECAC Northeast. Rose was previously named Goalie of the Week on January 4th after he guided the Rams to their first ever Cod Fish Bowl title being named MVP in the holiday tournament.
Senior forward Pat Welch (Dorchester, Mass.) also earned recognition being named to the ECAC Northeast Weekly Honor. Welch scored Saturday's game winner just fifty-five seconds into the overtime period scoring his first game-winning goal of the season. Welch also scored in the first period that evening. He is currently second on the team in goals with eight.
