2022-23 SUFFOLK MEN'S HOCKEY SCHEDULE
BOSTON – Suffolk men's hockey is on the verge of a new era as Shawn McEachern has taken over the program and the newly named head coach has announced the 2022-23 schedule, which features a 25-game slate including a dozen tilts at the new home of the Rams, Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink.
Puck drop is 37 days from game one of the McEachern era that will start with three straight Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) home-and-home series: Salve Regina (Nov. 4-5), Nichols (11-12) and Endicott (18-19).
Suffolk steps away from conference competition Tuesday, Nov. 22 against UMass Dartmouth. The tangle with Corsairs wraps up the first month of action.
December toggles between away and home outings with trips to the University of New England (Dec. 2) and Western New England (Dec. 9) sandwiched around a Saturday, Dec. 3 showdown with the Nor'Easters.
Non-conference affairs with Franklin Pierce and Salem State get the New Year underway. The Rams welcome the Ravens to Eastie Saturday, Jan. 7, before the blue-and-gold bus to the North Shore to visit the Vikings three days later, Tuesday, Jan. 10.
League play picks up again with home-and-home series spanning the next two weekends against Wentworth (Jan. 13-14) and Curry (Jan. 20-21).
Suffolk caps off its non-conference calendar at Bowdoin Tuesday, Jan. 24 before tangling with Western New England in a home-and-home Jan. 27-28.
The six contests throughout February are evenly divided between battles at Porrazzo Rink and road tilts.
A Friday, Feb. 3 clash with the University of New England precedes trips to Nichols (Feb. 4) and Salve Regina (Feb. 10). Suffolk entertains Endicott Saturday, Feb. 11 before sending its seniors off versus Curry Friday, Feb. 17. The blue-and-gold conclude its regular-season at Wentworth, Saturday, Feb. 18.
McEachern, who was hired in August 2022, takes over a talented program that will be led by its senior class that includes netminder Cal Wilcox, forwards Griffin Clark, Ryan Donnelly, Alex Kolowrat, Nick Lachaine, Devin Lowe, Peter Nugent and Max Rand.
