AHCA RELEASE | KRAMPADE ALL-AMERICAN SCHOLARS
BOSTON – Suffolk men's hockey had seven players honored as Krampade All-American Scholars by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) for the 2023-24 season, the national organization unveiled.
Olle Akermark and Ryan Webb earned spots on the list for the second straight season, while CJ Hapward, Will MacNeil, Scott McManus, Adam McNabney and Alex Pratt etched their name on the list for the first time in their collegiate careers.
To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 grade point average for each semester, and had to appear in 40 percent of the team's games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and back-up goaltenders. Schools also were required to be members of the AHCA.
The Rams have garnered the nod for exceptional results in the classroom since the inception of the award eight years ago.
Suffolk's seven honorees were a part of 40 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) skaters to earn the distinction for their work inside the classroom. Nichols had the most selections with a bakers dozen followed by a 10 from Curry. Western New England (6) and the University of New England (4) were represented on the list as well. Overall, 550 honorees across Division II-III men picked up the feat. For a full list of honorees, click here.
