KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Suffolk men's soccer received recognition for its academic accolades over the 2023-24 year with the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award, the national organization announced.
The Rams received the nod for the fifth straight year and eighth time in the history of the award, which has been handed out to programs who achieve a 3.0 combined grade point average on a 4.0 scale since 1996.
Overall, 423 college teams – 177 men, 246 women --- across all three NCAA divisions earned the recognition including 105 institutions who saw both their men's and women's programs acknowledged, one of who was Suffolk. The Rams were the lone Conference of New England (CNE) institution to have both programs, men's and women's, to receive the distinction.
Bill Maddock's team, who combined for a 3.30 GPA over 2023-24, was one of two CNE programs to pick up the feat including Endicott.
