Men’s Soccer Moves Up to Sixth in Region II in United Soccer Coaches Poll

United Soccer Coaches Region II Rankings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Suffolk men's soccer crept up one spot in Region II in the Week 3 edition of the 2025 United Soccer Coaches Division III Rankings, the national organization announced late Tuesday afternoon.

The Rams inched up one spot after a 2-0-0 week that saw the blue-and-gold comeback at MIT, 2-1, and handled Conference of New England (CNE) counterpart Curry, 4-0.

CNE Rookie of the Week Mohamed Mehaya was a critical performance in the pair of triumphs as he provided multiple points in each. The forward was responsible for both goals versus the Engineers and assisted on half of the blue-and-gold's offensive output against the Colonels. CNE Defender of the Week Nathan Harlow, meanwhile, turned aside a season-best seven shots in the shutout over Curry.

Suffolk, who is now 5-2-2 on the season and 2-1-1 in league play, is featured in the regional ranks for the fourth time in as many weeks this season and ties a season-high with the sixth spot, which it achieved Sept. 16, 2025. Bill Maddock's squad has been a staple in the regional poll since 2024'S fifth poll Oct. 9, 2024.

Suffolk is one of three CNE teams in Region II's top-8 as Roger Williams and Endicott rank third and fifth, respectively.

The blue-and-gold is back in action tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 30 when it resumes a halted a game against Dean from Aug. 29. The Rams led the Bulldogs, 3-2, with 11:38 remaining in the first frame before the contest was suspended due to lighting. Action picks up where it left off at 7 p.m. at East Boston Memorial Park's James A. Sartori Stadium.
