Men’s Track & Field Kicks Off Season at Suffolk Relays

BOSTON – Suffolk men's indoor track & field opened the 2025-26 season at the Suffolk Relays, hosted at the Reggie Lewis Center on Saturday, Dec. 6. 

The Rams featured a mix of youth and experience, with several first-year making their collegiate debuts, while upper classmen turned in top finishes and set collegiate bests. 

RAMS RECORDS

  • Michael Nossek set a top mark in the 60 meters with 6:97.
  • Tighe Hosman recorded a personal best in the 60-meter hurdles with 8:82.
  • Nico Carrillo set career high finishes in the 60-meter hurdles (9:76) and the long jump (5.83 meters).
  • Joshua Catino posted a career mark in the long jump with 5.67 meters.
  • Connor Brown produced a career best 9.88 meter throw in the shot put.

RAMS RUNNERS

  • In the 60 meters, Nossek led the charge with a 7:06 time in prelims and 6:97 in finals, earning a third-place finish. The sprint field also included strong efforts from Eddie Hindle (7:56), Winslow (7:67), Eddy (7:68), Gomez (8:03), Cormac O'Brien (8:15), and William Van Dyke (8:30).
  • Nossek continued to impress in the 200 meters, placing fifth with a time of 23:25. Several other Rams contributed performances from Hindle (24:11), Aiden Marin (24:15), St. Pierre (24:23), Charlie Billard (24:44), Connor Johnson (24:70), Winslow (24:77), Hosman (24:90), Eddy (24:95), Carrillo (25:09), Gomez (25:78), and Van Dyke (28:33).
  • O'Brien ran 43:46 in the 300 meters, marking his first appearance in the event.
  • Marin led the Rams with a 53:64 split in the 400-meter event, followed closely by St. Pierre (54:09), Johnson (54:27), and Billard (54:98.
  • Matthew McGoldrick ran a 2:22:49 in the 800 meters.
  • Hosman raced to a time of 9:08 and Carrillo followed with a 9:78 to advance out of the 60-meter hurdle prelims. In the finals, Hosman finished third with 8:82, while Carrillo placed sixth with 9:76.

JUMPERS JIST

  • Carrillo jumped to 5.83 meters and Catino reached 5.67 meters in the long jump.

FIELDERS FACTS

  • Brown took part in the shot put, throwing for 9.88 meters.
  • Suffolk's weight throwers included Elijah Brown at 12:29 meters, George Mirogiannis at 10:11 meters, and Brown at 9:63 meters.

  • Suffolk saw several collegiate debuts, including Hindle in the 60 meters and 200 meters, Gomez in the 60 meters and 200 meters, Marin in the 200 meters, St. Pierre in the 200 meters, Johnson in the 200 meters, and Van Dyke in the 60 meters and 200 meters.
  • Winslow, Eddy, and Billard made their Suffolk debuts, all competing in the 60 meters and 200 meters.
