Men’s Track & Field Takes Part in Gordon Kelly Invitational

CAMBRIEDGE, Mass.  – Suffolk men's indoor track & field continued its season slate on Saturday at the Gordon Kelly Invitational, hosted by MIT at the Johnson Athletic Center Track.

RAMS RUNNERS

  • Michael Nossek paced Suffolk with a time of 7.27 in the 60-meter dash to place 32nd. He was followed by Connor Johnson (7.50), Nolan Winslow (7.72), Charlie Billard (7.73), Tighe Hosman (7.96), Cormac O'Brien (8.06), and Marco Gomez (8.08).
  • Hossman was the lone Suffolk competitor in the 60-meter hurdle and placed 20th behind a time of 9.08.
  • Johnson led Suffolk in the 200, finishing 33rd in a personal-best 24.35 as Billard crossed in 24.50. Hossman (25.55) and Gomez (26.10) also competed.
  • Emmett St. Pierre highlighted the 400, placing 24th in 54.48, with Gomez (57.56) and O'Brien (1:02.44) rounding out the Rams' efforts.
  • Three Rams made their debut in the 1,000 with Sebastian Vickers-Richard crossing 13th in 2:51.37, Declan Shannon 14th in 2:53.59, and Eric Anderson 16th in 2:57.36.
  • Michael Najarian represented Suffolk in the mile, finishing in 5:23.28

  • Johnson competed in the long jump, placing 34th with a leap of 5.61 meters.

  • Johnson posted a personal-best 24.35 in the 200 meters.

Suffolk will split into two groups next weekend as it competes in a pair of meets from Saturday, Jan. 24 through Sunday, Jan. 25. One group will take part in the John Thomas Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston University at the Track & Tennis Center in Boston, Mass., while the other will compete at the Harvard Invitational, hosted by Harvard at the Gordon Indoor Track in Cambridge, Mass.
