BOSTON – Suffolk men's indoor track & field saw eight Rams combine for 11 personal records at the River Hawk Invitational Saturday at the Track at New Balance. Joshua Catino headlined the record setters as he wrote the indoor record in the pole vault.
RAMS RECORDS
- Catino cleared a program-best 3.80 meters in the pole vault.
- Connor Johnson registered two career-highs in the 400 (54.09) and 200 (23.94) and tied a personal-best in the long jump (5.84).
- Charlie Billard and Marco Gomez rewrote their 60 career highs with times of 7.55 and 7.92, respectively. The former recorded a personal-record in the 200 (23.42) and the latter logged a career-best in the 400 as well of 56.16.
- Nico Carrillo and Tighe Hosman completed the 200 in a personal-best times of 24.5 and 24.70, respectively.
- Jack Marston (4:48.30) and Michael Najarian (5:08.77) raced to personal-bests in the mile.
RAMS RUNNERS
- Billard (7.55), Gomez (7.92) and Cormac O'Brien (7.97) sprinted the 60.
- St. Pierre (54.01) and Johnson (54.09) finished one after another in the 400 in 42nd and 43rd, respectively. Gomez, meanwhile, was 11 spots after Johnosn behind a time of 56.16.
- Johnson (23.94), Hosman (24.70), St. Pierre (24.73), Billard (23.42), Gomez (25.53), Carrillo (24.57) raced in the 200.
- Matthew Ramarge (4:37.51), Sean Jacobsen (4:41.48), Marston (4:48.30), Sebastian Vickers-Richard (4:48.30), Declan Shannon 4:53.36), Eric Anderson (5:20.46) and Najarian (5:08.77) all donned the blue-and-gold in the mile.
HAVE TO KNOW 'BOUT THE HURDLERS
- Hosman secured 40th in the 60 hurdles with a time of 9.13.
JUMPERS JIST
- Johnson's 5.84-meter effort in the long jump was good for 23rd.
VAULTERS VIEW
- Catino finished 14th in the pole vault with a 3.80-meter effort.
