Suffolk men’s outdoor track & field had a standout showing at the NCAA Division III New England Championships over the weekend at Lee Track on the campus of Williams College.
Suffolk made history on Saturday (April 30), winning the inaugural Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Men’s Track and Field Championship with a team score of 162. The Rams topped the five-team field, outscoring its closest opponent by nearly 40 points.
For the third time this season, Suffolk men’s outdoor track & field has seen three Rams garnered weekly recognition from the Commonwealth Coast Conference, the league office unveiled Monday afternoon. Matyas Csiki-Fejer and Carter Nevulis garnered track awards as athlete and rookie, respectively, while Michael Balestra picked up his third straight field athlete of the week nod. The accolades come following the blue-and-gold’s outing at MIT’s Sean Collier Invitational.

Suffolk men’s and women’s outdoor track & field has another eventual weekend in store with three events over April 15-16. First, the Rams will be represented by Thomas Novy and Skyler Spanbauer at Connecticut College’s Stiflen Invitational Friday, with the team splitting up Saturday for the SJC Monks Invitational in Standish, Maine, and the Penmen Relays in Hooksett New Hampshire.
