Suffolk to Host 2025 XC NCAA Division III East Regional Championship

NCAA DIVISION III EAST REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL 

BOSTON – For the fourth time in the University's history and third straight season, Suffolk Athletics will take on a national hosting role as the NCAA has tapped the Rams as host of the 2025 Division III East Regional Championships Saturday, Nov. 15.  

The gig is the Rams fourth across any sport in the University's Athletic program history, which spans 80-plus years, and third consecutive campaign the Rams' cross country program put on a regional race over the last two seasons in the Granite State. 

Suffolk will welcome institutions from the East, comprised of all of Maine, New Hampshire and Eastern Massachusetts to Hopkinton Fair Grounds in Hopkinton, New Hampshire, the third Saturday of November. More information on the East Regional Championship can be found here.

A year ago, both the blue-and-gold's programs finished with program-best team results. The men claimed eighth for the second time in as many years, while the women secured fifth following a tiebreaker with Colby.  

Individually in 2024, two men -- Tim Barry and Hayden Green -- and three women -- Amalia DorionAmy Pattelena and Sofia Moukaddem -- raced to all-region recognition presented by the U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) to the top-35 finishers in each respective gender. Additionally, Dorion and Pattelena grabbed spots on the DIII New England Association All-New England team with finishes in the top-20.  

The winner of meet will not only be crowned the regional champ, but earn a spot at the 2025 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships, which is scheduled to be held Saturday, Nov. 22 at the Roger Miliken Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
