Suffolk softball takes its talent on the road this weekend with back-to-back trips to Framingham State on the schedule. The Boston Rams are set for back-to-back battles with the Framingham Rams Saturday, March 20 and Sunday, March 21. Game one first pitch on both days is set for noon.
Suffolk softball had walk-off potential with the bases loaded despite entering the bottom of the seventh inning down three. Lasell kept the game-winning run on the bags, however, to hand the Rams a 6-5 season-opening loss Tuesday afternoon at East Boston Memorial Park.
Suffolk softball had to play catch-up from the get-go, took the lead, but it let it go again, which allowed Lasell to capture game two of a non-conference doubleheader, 13-9, Tuesday night at East Boston Memorial Park.
It’s been 367 days since Suffolk softball last took the diamond for competition and Ram Nation has to wait just one more day with the 2021 season opener set for tomorrow, Tuesday, March 16 against Lasell. First pitch of the non-conference twinbill is set for 3:00 p.m.
