Julianne Conrad (West Bridgewater, MA) averaged 14.5 points per game and 7.50 rebounds per game on the week. The freshman forward had 20 points in Thursday non-conference loss to Umass-Boston, 64-63.
Conrad currently leads the Rams in scoring with a 12.3 points per game average. She is also the team's leading scorer from beyond the arc, connecting on 31 field goals this season.
This is the second time this season Julianne has been named the league's best freshman for a week period. On January 13th she was also named Rookie of the Week. Julianne has also been named to the GNAC Honor Roll twice this season (January 20 and February 10).
Suffolk (12-10, 5-5 GNAC) will be in action three time times this week as look to earn a bid into the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Playoffs. Suffolk hosts GNAC rivals Johnson & Wales this Tuesday (2/17) at the Regan Gymnasium. Game time is at 8 pm. The Rams will be back in action as they make-up a game Thursday night at 6 pm against Framingham State College, before wrapping up the regular season on Saturday against Mount Ida beginning at 2:00 pm.
