Boston, MA -- Prior to Tuesday evening's Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Basketball matchup between the Suffolk University and Johnson & Wales Wildcats both teams donned pink warm up jersey as part of the WBCA's Pink Zone Initiative.

Suffolk University Women’s Basketball and the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has partnered with the Women's Basketball Coaches' Assocation (WBCA) to host "Pink Zone" basketball games during the week of February 13-22, 2009. All women's basketball games during the week will raise funds for the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund.

The WBCA Pink Zone™ initiative is a global, unified effort for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.
