BOSTON – Suffolk women's basketball fell in Conference of New England (CNE) action on Wednesday evening at Larry E. and Michael S. Snith Court, 62-52.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Allison Bono's 4-of-5 start kept Suffolk in the contest early on as her eight points led all scorers at the end of the first quarter with the Rams trailing 16-12.
- Roger Williams opened its lead to nine following a 7-0 run, which was capped by a Chloe Richardson three-pointer to make it 25-16 with 6:05 to play in the first half.
- The Rams briefly cut the deficit to three behind a 9-2 run, which included four points from Jordan Moreau, to make it 27-24 at the 2:38 mark of the second quarter. The Hawks held Suffolk scoreless for the remainder of the second quarter to take a 34-24 lead into the halftime break.
- Suffolk trailed 41-30 at the 4:08 mark of the third before a technical foul pulled them within seven with a pair of Olivia Verdile free throw makes and Tatiana Tune layup on the ensuing possession. The Rams held the momentum for the remainder of the quarter, closing on a 10-4 run that was capped with a midrange buzzer beater from Bono to slice the deficit to 45-40 heading into the final frame.
- Suffolk clawed its way back to within two points after a bucket from Bono to make it 49-47 with 4:42 to play. RWU then held the blue-and-gold scoreless over a 3:36 stretch to take the contest 62-52.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Suffolk shot 38.2 percent from the floor and held RWU to just 35.8 percent and won the rebound battle 43-32.
- Bono led all Rams with 16 points on 8-of-14 shooting to go with ten rebounds and two steals.
- Tune trailed with 12 points, shooting 4-of-6 and hauling in five rebounds.
- Moreau added ten points and five rebounds.
- Verdile chipped in six points and dished out a team best three assists.
NOTEWORTHY
- Bono notched her fourth double-double of the season.
