SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Suffolk women's basketball closes out a week-long road trip with a 56-35 Conference of New England loss to Western New England Saturday afternoon at the Alumni Healthful Living Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- WNE was hot from the get-go as it put Suffolk in a 15-4 hole after the first quarter.
- The Rams fell behind 24-4 3:37 into the second. See-saw action consumed out the remaining of the opening half, and the blue-and-gold went into the break down 20, 34-14. before see-saw action closed out the frame, which sent the blue-and-gold into the break down 34-14.
- The 20-point gap grew to nearly 30, 49-23, with three quarters in the books.
- Suffolk had the upperhand in the fourth frame, 12-7, but it would not be enough to mount a comeback and ultimately the Golden Bears walked away with the conference contest.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Allison Bono put together an 11-point, 11-rebound double-double. The junior guard's stat line featured three steals, two dimes and one block.
- Jordan Moreau finished with six points to go along with three boards, one block and two takeaways.
- Olivia Verdile recorded five points and four rebounds.
- Ava Thurman tallied five points and one board.
