DUDLEY, Mass. – In a game that featured eight tied scores, and a dozen lead exchanges, Suffolk women's basketball fell to Nichols, 56-55, Saturday afternoon at the Nichols Athletic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After six tied scores, Jordan Moreau banked in a layup with 2:35 left in the first frame to give Suffolk a 15-13 edge. The Bison closed out the opening quarter with eight unanswered points put the Rams in a 21-15 hole at the first break.
- Nichols managed to convert the first points of the second stanza to stretch its run to 10 and lengthen the distance to eight, 23-15. The blue-and-gold compiled a 9-1 rally to trim the gap down to two, 26-24, with 4:46 to go before halftime, which forced the Bison to take a timeout at the midway point. Moreau was responsible for five points in that rally.
- Hoops were traded out of the huddle and Suffolk went into the locker room down 30-27.
- Just like the second, the first bucket of the third belonged to the Bison, which caused Suffolk to trail by six. The Rams took over as they poured in seven unanswered to take a 34-33 lead at the 6:29 mark.
- The lead flip flopped four times before a traditional 3-point play by Delaney More gave Suffolk the upperhand, 39-37. The Rams managed to cling to a one-point cushion, 44-43, at the end of the third quarter, 44-43.
- Rylee Barrieault sunk a triple to send Nichols in front, 46-44, 1:35 into the fourth quarter. The teams traded hoops, which allowed the Bison to hold onto the lead the rest of the way despite a handful of last second chances for the blue-and-gold.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Tatiana Tune tallied a game-high 17 points behind an 8-for-14 performance from the floor. The sophomore added 12 rebounds for a double-double effort to go with five helpers, two swats and one steal.
- Moreau finished with 11 points, five boards, three steals, one assist and one block.
- Mora added nine points and six caroms.
- The Rams converted in transitioned with 10 fastbreak points.
- The blue-and-gold won the battle on the boards, 43-36.
NOTEWORTHY
- Tune had the first double-double of her collegiate career. She matched a career-high in field goals made (8) and blocks (2) and set a personal-best in rebounds (12), assists (5).
- More tied a career-high in points (9), field goals made (4) and rebounds (6).
