Women’s Golf Set for First-Ever Match at Rhode Island Sunday
Sunday, Oct. 2 will be a historic day for Suffolk athletics as the 2016 women’s golf team will take to the green for the first time in the school’s history. The Rams will go head-to-head versus Rhode Island at the Valley Country Club in Warwick, Rhode Island. Tee time is scheduled for 1 p.m.

THE COURSE
Valley Country Club is a par 72 course with picturesque views, challenging greens and pristine fairways. 51 bunkers and three water holes are featured on the three lined course for a challenging experience.
THE COMPETITION
Rhode Island has two meets under its belt this season before Sunday's competition. The Anchorwomen finished second in their season opener, a tri-match at Wellesley and Husson, and took 12th at the Mount Holyoke Invitational. Freshman Nicole Langella has led the way for Rhode Island in both competitions.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Suffolk returns to the links Oct. 15 for its first-ever two-day competition, the NYU Invitational at Forest Hill Field Club in Bloomfield, New Jersey.
