BOSTON – Suffolk women's golf heads out for its second straight weekend, this time taking on Worcester State in a head-to-head battle Sunday, April 18 at the Blackstone National Golf Club in Sutton, Massachusetts.

LAST TIME OUT
Suffolk women's golf started its 2021 season in the win column as the Rams defeated Husson I a head-to-head battle, 372-477, Saturday afternoon at Dutch Elm Golf Club.

RAMS REVIEW
Suffolk opened its fourth varsity season with a 372-477 win over Husson April 10 at the Dutch Elm Golf Club. The Rams began their campaign with a head-to-head match for the third time in program history last Saturday.
The blue-and-gold finished 1-2-3 led by individual medalist Ellie Yarbrough's 89. Isabel Smith shot 90 for second and Nicole Antonucci rounded out the trio with a 91. Madison Scheinberg also took the course in Vacation Land last week and shot a 102 to claim fifth in the eight-golfer field.
LANCERS LOOK
Worcester State's lone match in 2021 will take place against Suffolk on Sunday, April 18. Sunday's showdown marks the first true team match for WSU since it battled Rhode Island in a head-to-head outing Oct. 14, 2018.
A year ago, the Lancers competed at the NEIGA Championships where they Courtney Prescott, Lyle dela Cruz and Lindsey Guittarr participated as individuals. Back on roster this year is Lyle dela Cruz and Guitarr.

SUFFOLK'S SCHEDULE
The Rams will vie to regain the NWGC Championship crown Saturday, April 25 at the Colonie Country Club in Voorheesville, New York. Suffolk last took home the title in the league's inaugural year in 2019.
