Wasylk Signs with Buffalo Beauts, to Play in NWHL Season
Taylor Wasylk, Suffolk women’s hockey head coach, will return to her playing roots in the upcoming National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL) season, set to take place Jan. 23-Feb. 5 in Lake Place, New York.

BOSTON – Taylor Wasylk, Suffolk women's hockey head coach, will return to her playing roots in the upcoming National Women's Hockey League (NWHL) season, set to take place Jan. 23-Feb. 5 in Lake Placid, New York.
Wasylk signed a contract with the Buffalo Beauts on Friday, Jan 22. The former Boston College Eagle is the only NCAA head coach competing in the bubble, which begins regular season action on Jan. 23. Wasylk, who made the trip to Lake Placid on Friday morning, is expected to make her Beauts' debut on Wednesday, Jan. 27.
No stranger to the NWHL, Wasylk skated in four games for the Boston Pride a year ago before being sidelined due to injury. Over that stretch, the Pride went undefeated with the help of four assists from the forward.

The competition in Lake Placid will feature the NWHLs' six teams – the Boston Pride, Buffalo Beauts, Connecticut Whale, Metropolitan Riveters, Minnesota Whitecaps and first-year expansion club the Toronto Six. Each team will play a five-game round robin tournament, followed by a playoff round that will determine the four advancing teams into the Isobel Cup Semifinals.
Fans will be able to watch every game of the regular season in Twitch, while the Isobel Cup Semifinals and Final, slated for Feb. 4-5, will air live exclusively on NBCSN.
