EAST BOSTON, Mass. – Suffolk women's ice hockey dropped a non-confernce contest to No. 12 Colby on Tuesday evening at Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink, 5-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Colby opened the scoring 4:36 into the first period when a shot from Sophia Kennedy rebounded off Beth Sinson's stick and found Megan Martodam at the top of the crease for a tap-in goal.
- Suffolk answered to draw level at 7:35 of the opening frame as Cassie Borowski fired home a shot from the blue line, assisted by Aiden Levee-Oshiro and Abby Sandler.
- The Mules regained the lead on the power play with 3:39 remaining in the first on a goal from Kennedy, before Martodam struck again with just 26 seconds left in the first period to give Colby a 3–1 advantage heading into the break.
- Courtney Schumacher extended the lead early in the second period, and Kennedy capped the scoring with her second power-play goal of the night late in the second frame to make it 5-1.
NETMINDER NOTES
- Katelyn Michals recorded 26 saves in the contest.
- Lucy Cantin relieved Michals in the third period and stacked up 15 stops.
- Ally Martiniello made 18 saves in the win for the Mules.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- The Mules outshot the Rams 46-19.
- Jenna Caballero led the charge offensively for Suffolk with four shots.
- Borowski scored Suffolk's lone goal of the contest.
