HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Endicott controlled the pace of play in the first 20 minutes, and Katelyn Michals was nearly perfect as she turned aside 22 shots, however, it was the Gulls 23rd that got by the junior netminder. Abby Agrodnia snuck it by the blue-and-gold's goalie from the point to give the visitors a 1-0 edge with 14 seconds left in the first period.
  • The Gulls lengthened their lead 3:37 into the middle period. Gracyn Kurrle put away a perfect pass from Agrodnia to make it a 2-0 Endicott game. Ava Schmidt secured an assist on the second strike of the night.
  • A rebound helped Endicott stretch its cushion to three in the third period. Kurrle picked up the pieces of Schmidt's miss and tucked it away for the 3-0 margin with 8:48 remaining in regulation.
  • Liliana Moose eliminated the shutout as she scored out of a Rams' timeout. Alexia Hill was in a battle against the boards with an Endicott Gull. Hill hit the puck loose where Moose await, picked it up and took it in between the face off dots where she slapped a shot towards the cage and past Lauren Ferrari to push the Rams back within two with 3:29 left on the clock. Anya Nichipor earned an assist on the strike as well.
