BOSTON – Suffolk women's lacrosse is days away from its first game of the 2026 campaign as the Rams are scheduled to entertain Husson at Wentworth's Old Sweeney Field Sunday, March 1 at 12:00 p.m.

RAPID REWIND
After going 7-10 overall and 3-6 in Conference of New England (CNE) contests in their inaugural campaign, the Rams aim to continue establishing themselves within the league during their 17-game slate in year two.  

The Rams return two of their top three scorers in Julia Dickinson (44 goals, 29 assists) and Zoe Peckham (25 goals, 20 assists) and they will be joined by Jessie Le (19 goals, 6 assists) and Lauren Woods (16 goals, 8 assists) in the midfield. 

Dickinson and Kate Carlson, who anchored the defense with 69 draw controls, 34 ground balls, and 21 caused turnovers, both earned All-CNE Third-Team honors last season. 

RAMS ROOKIES
Suffolk women's lacrosse head coach Carolynn Keal assembled an eight-member class to boost the Rams' roster for its second season in 2026.

The program's second-ever recruiting class is made up by five true freshmen in Ruby EatonCarley EhwaTaylor JoyntElisyn Morey, and Kayla Santo, as well as three junior transfers Penelope LawlorStella MacLelland and Bridget O'Leary.

GEOGRAPHY 101
Suffolk's squad is Northeast heavy. Eleven (11) Rams hail from the Bay State, four are Connecticut locals and two come from Vermont. New Hampshire, New Hampshire and Rhode Island are all represented by one student-athlete apiece. 

CLASS CATEGORIES
Suffolk's second squad represents all four classes, a first in program history. The bulk of the players remain underclassmen in eight sophomores, and five freshmen, with half a dozen juniors and one senior.

POSITION PICTURE
The 20 Rams are broken down into a seven midfielders and defenders, respectively, five attackers and one goalie.

RAMS RINGLEADERS
Suffolk women's lacrosse will be led by three Rams for its second season as head coach Carolynn Keal named senior Emily Briand and sophomores Gracelyn Laperle and Lauren Woods tri-captains for the 2026 campaign.

Laperle and Woods return to the post for their second season, while Briand earned the role for the first time in her collegiate career. The group is the first trio to share the captain responsibilities in the young program's history.

SKIPPER'S SECTION
Carolynn Keal became the first-ever head coach of Suffolk women's lacrosse in June 2023 after spending two seasons in the Pacific Northwest at Willamette as an assistant coach in 2022 and an associate head coach a year later.  

Keal's coaching staff remains the same for her second season as Olivia Delonais and Sammi Hogan remained on as Suffolk's assistant coaches.  

OUT OF THE GATE

  • Suffolk is unbeaten in its first game of the year, 1-0, as it defeated Dean, 12-8, in game one a year ago, Feb. 22, 2025.
  • The Rams have only lifted the lid on their schedule on the road. This season, Suffolk will play at neutral field as the home team. 
  • The blue-and-gold will play its season debut on the weekend for the second time, however it'll be the first time that first draw of a campaign will take place on a Sunday. 

EAGLES EYE

  • Husson brings a 0-1 ledger to Boston after it fell to the University of New England, 16-9, Feb. 18. 
  • The Eagles will face Beantown foe UMass Boston Saturday, Feb. 28, prior to taking on Suffolk Sunday. 
  • Husson's nine-goal offense has seen four different sticks provide a goal anchored by Kate Boehmcke and Reese Sullivan, who have scored three apiece. 
  • Boehmcke tops the team in points with five with two assists to her credit as well, while Averie Baker boasts a four-point stat line evenly divided between goals (2) and helpers (2). 
  • Graice Gardner rounds out the point providers with one strike and one set-up. 
  • Salin Bachor played in net for Eagles in game one. She had seven saves to her credit.  

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Sunday's showdown will be the first between Suffolk and Husson all-time.
