Women’s Tennis Falls at RIC in Season Opener

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Suffolk women's tennis team dropped its season opener at Rhode Island College by a 9-0 decision at the RIC Outdoor Tennis Courts Tuesday night.

RECORDS: Suffolk (0-1) | RIC (3-0)

The Anchormen quickly took a 3-0 lead in the match as they swept doubles action. From there, Rhode Island locked up the win with two golden matches in the top spot and on court three.

2 – Bella Romeo/Katherine Braganca (RIC) defeated Elena Cisneros Garcia/Keely Hardy (SUF), 8-3

Suffolk opens the home portion of its slate Monday, Sept. 11 when the rams entertain Roger Williams at North Reading High School.
