HOW IT HAPPENED
Suffolk found itself in a 3-0 hole after the Sharks locked up all doubles points in order.
The Rams picked up a singles point behind Ilda Ascic's 6-1, 6-3 decison in the first slot over Nickie Nguyen, but it would not be enough as Simmons locked up the remaining five courts to secure the 8-1 win.
