BOSTON – Suffolk women's tennis will pull the curtain closed on its 2025 campaign as it entertains Hartford Friday and heads to Roger Williams Saturday. The Rams welcome the Connecticut Hawks to The Rivers School Oct. 24 for a 3:00 p.m. first serve before heading to Bristol, Rhode Island Oct. 25 for a 12:00 p.m. matinee.

Suffolk women's tennis stumbled Tuesday afternoon as Saint Joseph (Conn.) handed the Rams' a 7-0 Conference of New England (CNE) setback at the Elizabeth Ferry Speer Tennis Complex.

RAMS RUNDOWN

  • Suffolk enters the final two matches of 2025 at 1-10 on the season and 1-7 versus Conference of New England (CNE) counterparts. 
  • Thu Nguyen has competed as the blue-and-gold's top singles racquet all season and holds a 2-9 mark. 
  • Elizabeth Lassner (2-9), Elene Nishnianidze (2-6), Jula Lanczycki (2-5) and Jaylin Hills (2-4) have all recorded two singles wins apiecein the lower half off of the ladder. 
  • In doubles, Nia Bebb and Lassner are unbeaten, 2-0, in the second spot. 

HARTFORD HEADLINES

  • Hartford women's tennis is back in action after a 10-year hiatus. 
  • The Hawks are 0-11 on the year and 0-8 in CNE contests. 
  • Gabriella Carr has taken on the bulk of the work load as Hartford's ace and is 0-6 on the top court and 0-11 in singles play overall.
  • Vicalia Deida is the winningest singles player at 2-9 with both victories coming in the fourth spot. 
  • In doubles, the twosome of Crystal Gallagher and Carr have partnered as the Hawks' top tandem. They are 0-9 on the year. 

INSIDE THE SERIES

  • Suffolk and Hartford will meet for the first time.  

ROGER WILLIAMS REVIEW

  • Roger Williams sits 12-1 on the season and 7-1 in CNE action, with its lone loss to Gordon, 5-2, Saturday. 
  • The Hawks will face Nichols Thursday, Oct. 23 prior to hosting Suffolk Saturday, Oct. 25. 
  • Valentina Abarca has seen the most time as RWU's ace and sports a 6-5 ledger. 
  • Adriana Palmieri is undefeated in singles play at 13-0 on courts three (1-0), four (1-0) and five (11-0). 
  • Megan Bache (11-2), Izzy Pecora (10-2) and Gabrielle Petronio (11-1) have all produced double-digit victories in singles action as well. 
  • The twosome of Ella Mancini and Pecora are 10-2 in doubles play exclusively in the second slot. 
  • Abarca and Bache sport an 8-4 record as the top tandem.
