BEVERLY, Mass. – Nia Bebb of the Suffolk women's tennis team earned a spot on the Conference of New England (CNE) Community Service Team, the league office announced Tuesday.
The CNE Community Service Team recognizes one student-athlete from each program who exemplifies sportsmanship, character, and commitment to their community.
Bebb, a junior from Lancaster, New Hampshire, competed in the No. 2 singles position throughout the season and saw time on both doubles' courts, including four matches on the top court. She displayed perseverance, positivity, and leadership throughout the year, serving as a model teammate and competitor.
Since joining the CCC in 2020, Suffolk has garnered six all-conference awards, a pair of CCC Scholar-Athletes in Ilda Ascic (2021) and Bianca Prescott (2022), and four singles all-conference players in Sarah Mezini (first-team; 2021) and Urbano (second-team; 2023, 2024 and third-team; 2022) to go along wiht a pair of Community Service Team selections, Aasha Shah a year ago in Bebb this season.
