BOSTON – Four Rams rewrote personal records with half producing program-best as Suffolk women's indoor track & field compete at Boston University's John Thomas Terrier Classic Friday.
RAMS RUNNERS
- JJ Conteh won the 60 as she sprinted the event in 7.78. Hilma Ortega's 8.20, meanwhile, was good for 19th.
- Conteh and Ortega participated in the 200 as well. The former finished in 26.81 and the latter produced a time of 27.54.
- Kaylie Groom raced one lap around the track in 1:01.38.
- Katelyn Porter finished the 800 in 2:19.96.
- Amy Pattelena clocked a 3:04.97 in the 1000.
- Sofia Moukaddem finished 40th in the 5000 with a time of 17:18.55.
HAVE TO KNOW 'BOUT THE HURDLERS
- Ortega was the runner-up in the 60 hurdles with a time of 9.49. Bailey Stoddard-Baughman was five spots behind her teammate behind a performance of 9.89.
JUMPERS JIST
- Averie Denelle cleared 1.58 meters in the high jump to finish 13th.
RAMS RECORDS
- Conteh's 60-meter dash personal record of 7.87 marked a new program-best as well.
- Ortega hurdled to a career-high of 9.49 in the 60 hurdles
- Groom rewrote her personal-best in the 400 (1:01.38).
- Moukaddem registered a program and personal record in the 5000 with a 17:18.55 showing.
YOU'RE NEW HERE
- Pattelena performed in the 1000 indoors for the first time in her collegiate career.
