CAMBRIEDGE, Mass. – Suffolk women's indoor track & field closed out a two-event weekend with action at the Harvard Invitational Saturday at the Gordon Indoor Track. Four Rams rewrote personal-best at the meet.
RAMS RUNNERS
- The Rams were led in the 1,000 meters by Amy Pattelena, who finished 11th with a time of 3:05.21, while Megan Dunn (3:22.50), Bailey Ford (3:24.22), Gina Cappello (3:28.77), Kaitlyn Cullen(3:50.33), and Katarina Ferreira (4:17.92) also competed in the event.
- In the 800 meters, Cassie Silkoff crossed the finish line in 2:30.28 to place 26th, with Maria Gallantfollowing at 3:05.05.
- A trio of Rams took on the 200 meters, led by Rhoni Johnson at 26.97, as Olivia Coyne (29.16) and Aida Bellal (30.27) rounded out the group.
- Suffolk was represented in both sprint events by Bailey Stoddard-Baughman, who clocked an 8.64 in the 60-meter dash to place 54th before returning to finish 38th in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.55.
- Making her way through the 3,000 meters, Chloe Koo crossed the line in 11:23.70 to place 37th.
JUMPERS JIST
- Kelsie Dessaps placed 19th in the long jump with a mark of 4.97 meters, while Devyn Battistoni tied for sixth in the pole vault after clearing 3.40 meters.
FIELDERS FACTS
- Divinety Johnson heaved the weight throw 12.49 meters, placing 32nd in the field.
RAMS RECORDS
- Dessaps recorded a collegiate best mark of 4.97 meters in the long jump.
- Ford and Cappello each posted personal best performances in the 1,000 meters with times of 3:24.22 and 3:28.77, respectively.
- Johnson registered a career high toss of 12.49 meters in the weight throw.
YOU'RE NEW HERE
- Silkoff and Koo each made their indoor collegiate debuts in the 800 meters and 3,000 meters, respectively.
- Ferreira made her debut in the 1,000 meters.
- Rhoni Johnson made her debut in the 200 meters.
