Women’s Track & Field’s Manfra Takes Ninth in 1500 at NCAA DIII Championships

GENEVA, Ohio – Emily Manfra of the Suffolk women's outdoor track & field team wrapped up her impressive 2018-19 campaign at the 2019 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio over the weekend.
Manfra, a junior from Stoneham, Massachusetts, who was the first-ever Ram to compete at the national level, ran in the finals of the 1500 Saturday, May 25 after putting tougher a personal-best time of 4:34.43 in the preliminary round Thursday, May 23. In the finals, she clocked in at 4:34.58 to finish ninth in the 12-competitor heat, just three seconds shy of All-America status with the top eight runners taking home the honor.
