LOWELL, Mass. – Suffolk women's outdoor track & field opened the book on the 2026 season at the D'Armour Invitational, hosted by UMass Lowell at the Cushing Field Complex on Friday.
RAMS RUNNERS
- The 100 featured Hilma Ortega, who finished 11th in 13.12, while Rhoni Johnson (13.39), Bailey Stoddard-Baughman (13.78), Olivia Coyne (14.22), and Aida Bellal (14.79) also competed.
- Ortega returned in the 100m hurdles and placed fifth with a time of 16.01.
- Suffolk's 200 was led by Stoddard-Baughman with a time of 28.48, as Coyne (30.07) and Bellal (30.64) rounded out the Rams group.
- The 400 meters saw Kaylie Groom take eighth with a time of 1:02.93.
- Cassandra Silkoff finished 12th in the 800, finishing the two laps around the track in 2:39.18.
- The 1500 was led by Grace Miller, placing 27th in 5:15.47, followed by Silkoff (32nd, 5:19.75)
JUMPERS JIST
- Averie Denelle secured a fourth-place finish in the high jump with a 1.50m leap.
- In the long jump, Dootchina Dorielan landed at 4.36 meters to place 14th.
FIELDERS FACTS
- The hammer throw was highlighted by Hannah Laderoute, who placed 11th with a toss of 31.82 meters.
- Laderoute led the Rams with a throw of 25.62 meters to place eighth in the javelin, while Abby MacMillan followed at 22.22 meters for 11th.
- The shot put featured Divinety Johnson, who recorded a mark of 8.75 meters to place 14th.
- Johnson led the Ram group in the discus with a throw of 30.83 meters, followed by Laderoute (29.44) and MacMillan (16.07).
RAMS RECORDS
- Ortega placed personal-bests in the 100 (13.12) and 100m hurdles (16.01), which was the program-record as well.
- Groom posted a personal-best time of 1:02.93 in the 400.
YOU'RE NEW HERE
- Miller made her Suffolk debut in the 1500 meters.
- Silkoff made her collegiate debut in both the 1500 and 800 meters.
- Stoddard-Baughman, Coyne, Johnson, and Bellal each made their collegiate debuts in the sprints, competing in both the 100 and 200 meters.
- Laderoute made her collegiate debut in both the hammer throw and javelin, while MacMillan debuted in the javelin and discus.

Suffolk will split up next weekend for two events, the three-day Colonial Relays in Williamsburg, Virigina, and the Jim Sheehan Invite in Fitchburg, Massachusetts.
