RUNDOWN ON THE RAMS
Suffolk begins its 2016 season and second under the guidance of Bonny Ducharme as head coach Tuesday night. The Rams went 8-20 a year ago and 3-8 in GNAC play.
Suffolk's top offensive output from a year ago returns in sophomore Bridget Allison, who contributed 1.82 kps. Classmate Chidera Nwankwo, who put up 1.76 kps and 0.48 bps, and the blue-and-gold's triple threat in sophomore Talia Lombardo, who contributed all over the court with 1.54 kps, 0.65 aces per set and 3.08 dps, will also return to the hardwood for the Rams.
BREAKING DOWN THE BUCCANEERS
Mass. Maritime dropped to 0-2 on the year after being swept at Eastern Nazarene and dropping a five-set thriller versus Mitchell.
The Buccaneers are led offensively by Charleen Klangos, who notched 16 kills (2.00 kps). The outside hitter also contributed 2.12 dps. Emma Ethier ran Mass. Maritime's offense from the setter position with 26 assists (3.25 aps) to her credit.
