Women’s Cross Country Brings in Largest Recruiting Class for 2025

2025 SUFFOLK WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY TEAM 

BOSTON – Head coach Will Feldman has assembled an 11-member recruiting class for 2025 to add depth to an already experienced Suffolk women's cross country team that aims to extend its conference dominance for a fifth consecutive campaign.  

The fresh faces marks the first time Feldman has welcomed double-digit newcomers to his squad, surpassing the previous record of nine, which made up the 2021 season's recruiting class.

"The class is a mix of transfers and true freshmen, all of whom are more than capable of stepping in, and making an immediate impact," Feldman said. "This class provides us with much needed depth, something we've lacked in previous seasons." 

The transfer pool features grad student Grace Miller, as well as junior Katelyn Porter and sophomore Tess Drury.

"Tess, Grace and Katelyn should all be consistently in our top seven all season," Feldman said. "Tess was a NCAA Division III Cross Country National Qualifier at Saint Michael's and should be contending to win CNE's and earn a spot at nationals. Grace had a terrific career at Sacred Heart where she was consistently a top scorer and Katelyn Porter joins us at two seasons at Coastal Carolina. She was a top runner in Minnesota as a high school student-athlete and holds personal records that are quicker than multiple Suffolk University records." 

Feldman continued, "We fully expect that group to contend for all-conference and all-regional honors this season."

Seven true freshmen in Kaitlyn Cullen, Laina Frasier, Chloe Koo, Cassie Middleton, Emily Millan, Cassie Silkoff and Kathleen Sullivan, and junior Amanda Stamiris, meanwhile, are set for their collegiate debuts this year.  

"I think this freshman class is good enough to be a top three time in the conference on their own," said Feldman. "Chloe, Kathleen, Laina, Cassie Middleton and Cassie Silkoff are all coming off strong senior seasons and I'm going to be counting on them to provide depth to the roster and step up and be top five scorers for us as needed throughout the season."

Ram Nation will get the first glimpse at the 2025 edition of Suffolk women's cross country and its largest recruiting class Saturday, Aug. 30 at the Suffolk Short Course Classic at Highland Park in Attleboro, Massachusetts.
