DeAngelis Named Ram of the Week

BOSTON – The first week of the New Year was not what Ram Nation expected with numerous postponements, however, the competitions that did take place featured some standout performances and that showed in this week's Ram of the Week Twitter Poll voting. 

AND THE WINNER IS … 
Amanda DeAngelis of the Suffolk women's basketball team garnered 84 percent of the 38 votes cast to pick up Ram of the Week honors.

The recognition comes for the sophomore after her first collegiate double-double in the form of a 29-point, 22-rebound effort in an 87-68 win over Nichols Jan. 4. The Londonderry, New Hampshire, local shot 13-for-23 from the floor and pulled down the most boards in a single game in the Rams' game-by-game record book, which dates back to the 2010-11 season displacing the previous mark of 18 caroms held by Alexis Hackett '19 since Feb. 20, 2018.

RAM RUNNER-UPS 

2ND – 16 % - WILLIAM ROWE – MEN'S BASKETBALL 

William Rowe averaged a near double-double of 20.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game in a 1-1 week for the Rams. He contributed a 20-point, seven-board effort in a 91-85 setback to Nichols, before contributing 20 points, 12 rebounds and five assists to a 111-99 triumph at Gordon.
