Men’s Soccer Secures First Win, Downs Husson, 2-1
Ford Lee and Javen Ironside scored their first collegiate goals to push Suffolk men’s soccer in the win column with a 2-1 win over Husson Saturday afternoon at John P. Boucher Field. The win is the Rams first-ever over the Eagles in program history.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Suffolk scored first as Lee put the rock away just over three minutes into the contest. The senior scored low right with help from Francisco Valck to give the blue-and-gold a 1-0 upperhand.
- The Eagles' answered in the 19th minute off the corner. Lucas Menchaca took a corner kick that Chandi Hamadi picked up. With his back turned towards the net at the top of the box, he lofted a high kick towards the target. Ian Caldwell jumped to catch it and fell backwards to the towards. When the sophomore hit the turf, he lost control of the ball and it rolled into the back of the net to tie the game at 1-all.
- The Rams regained the upperhand in the 68th minute when Ironside headed a rebound home. Maxi Fadel took a corner kick on the right-hand side of the field. Oliver Heth took the initial attempt that was turned aside by Garret Jordan. The save was sent back out, hit Diego Pierantozzi's cleat and found Ironside for a quick shot that pushed the blue-and-gold in front.

- Caldwell had one save in the victory.
- Jordan notched two stops in the win.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
- Lee and Ironside registered one goalie apiece.
- Valck and Pierantozzi pitched in one assist each.
- Suffolk outshot Husson, 13-6, including a 4-2 edge in shots on target.
- The Rams took eight corner kicks compared to the Eagles three.
